blue in the face

we’ve all been asked the question, if you could save one thing from your burning home, what would it be? so i won’t ask that.

i was thinking about the aftermath of such a tragedy, after you’ve saved what you can save, after you’ve gone through endless dealings with your insurance company and reconstruction team, what wouldn’t you choose to buy again?

don’t worry, you can list more than one.

for me, this question is an exercise in deciphering how much of what clutters my life actually holds meaning. in terms of percentage, i’m hoping to break 50.

but i’m not holding my breath.
