  1. just turned the final page of The Department of Homeland Decency, and here’s what i think:

    if you’re liberal, you’ll laugh.
    if you’re conservative, you’ll still laugh (probably).
    if you’re believing every word, you’re probably too liberal.
    if you’re offended, you’re probably too conservative.

    verdict
    i probably won’t read it again, but it’s good for a chuckle.

  2. “When the Game is Over, It All Goes Back in the Box” (John Ortberg)

    i highly recommend reading Ortberg’s humourous, yet poignant, take on determining what is truly important in life. while he certainly doesn’t set up camp against having stuff or striving for success, he encourages the reader to look a little further down the road to what lasts longer than temporary treasure.

    a fun, easy read that leaves you not just thinking about life improvement, but inspired to act.
